A Verruca is a small lump of skin on your foot, usually identified by a tiny, black dot, under hard skin. Caused by a virus, they are more likely to be spread to other people from contaminated surfaces or through close skin contact and if your skin is wet or damaged – hence they are often passed on at communal Swimming pools.

If you think you have a Verruca, you should:

– always wash your hands after touching a verruca

– change your socks daily

– cover it with a plaster when swimming

You can self-treat, but if you want to be assured, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
